1 cup applesauce
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 (8 ounce) package vanilla flavored flavored Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
In a medium bowl, mix applesauce, water and brown sugar. Mix in lemon juice. Pour boiling water over applesauce mixture. Stir until fruits mash and boil. Stirring constantly, gently pour gelatin onto bowl.
Melt gelatin over medium heat in a small bowl. Stirring constantly, gently pour lemon juice over gelatin mixture. Stirring constantly, pour 1/2 cup boiling water over gelatin mixture. Stirring constantly, gently pour lemon juice over gelatin mixture. Cover bowl and refrigerate approximately 2 hours to soften gelatin. Sprinkle over pecans. Refrigerate to serve.
