1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 (4 ounce) can sliced fresh mushrooms, drained
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 (14 ounce) can frozen cream-style corn, thawed
Mix butter, flour, salt, garlic powder, oregano, pepper, and oil in shallow dish or bowl.
Heat oil in small skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onion, creole seasoning, and creole salt. Stir and cook 10 minutes. Cover, remove mushrooms from pan, and place in dish with pan. Sprinkle cream cheese mixture over mushrooms, onions, creole seasoning, and creole salt. Cover, and refrigerate overnight until serving.
