1 pound lean ham, cut into 2 equal pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 egg
1/8 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup American cheese, sliced
2 (10 ounce) packages cream cheese, room temperature
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix used cooking spray, horseradish, garlic, parsley, sugar, salt, cheese, and cream cheese. Mix thoroughly. Spread on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 23 minutes in the preheated oven, or until juices run clear. Cool slightly on a wire rack. Place ham in baking dish and sprinkle with cheese slices. Bake about 15 minutes longer, or until cheese is bubbly and filling is bubbly.
