Thorn Scones Recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups self-rising flour

1 3/4 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups golden raisins

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Working with a beater, stir together 3/4 cup flour, water and salt. Stir in 1/2 cup of raisins.

Pour over raisins and reduce heat to medium. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; peel and chop. Return to the oven to continue baking. Cool completely before serving.

Made this for dinner, the salsa recipe is awesome, I followed the recipe exactly or else I wouldn't have posted so quick. I made leftovers for tomorrow night and will make the enchiladas tomorrow night. The recipe makes enough for 8 to 10 people, I actually have enchiladas in the fridge so I'm planning to make just enchiladas. Will try with the garlic powder next time though, because mine were a little runny.
