Durango Bourbon Recipe

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups milk

1 cup orange juice

3 cups fresh pineapple juice

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

2 tablespoons lemon-lime bitters

1 pinch ground nutmeg

Directions

Place milk in an empty saucepan and heat to boiling. Pour over high heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in orange juice. Reduce to medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir in pineapple juice, lemonade, lemon-lime soda, lemon-lime sherbet, pineapple bits and lemon pepper. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

While still warm bring bourbon to a boil in a stockpot (preferably covered with ice). Remove from heat and pour over cream mixture. Pour a portion of the cream filling is reserved; transfer into the bottom of a serving bowl.

In a small mixing bowl, mix lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage, lemon sherbet and pineapple bits. Pour drink over cream, stirring gently until mixture coats the back of a metal spoon. Cover and store at room temperature.
