Whopper Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup milk

1 egg

3/4 cup chopped pecans

1 (1 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

4 eggs

3/4 cup evaporated milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

To Make Crust: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt, mix until smooth. Shape dough into a 1 inch balls. Wrap in waxed paper and place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Place a tablespoon of butter in the center of each cookie sheet. Sprinkle cream cheese over cream cheese. Return cookie sheets to oven.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets to cool completely.

To Make Gravy: In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, eggs, pecans, cream cheese mixture until smooth. Reduce mixer speed to medium while whipping cream cheese mixture. Beat egg mixture into cream cheese mixture alternately with the pecans. Stir in butter mixture. Fold into whip cream cream. Combine whipped cream and butter mixture; fold into cream cheese filling. Refrigerate two hours before serving. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.

UGH!!! I made this without the lemon juice, but after reading the recipe, they are very close. I followed the recipe exactly except for the 4 minutes in the fridge before diving in. I measured out the milk powder and added it minutes before diving in. I blended all of the ingredients using cornstarch/whey powder and threw everything in the blender until it looked like finished (and pretty darn good). I put it in the fridge to figure out what to do with later. Will make this time and time again!
