Baked Brownies II Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

3 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

SUGGESTIONS:

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

3 tablespoons butter, softened

3 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sliced almonds

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

Directions

Heat butter or margarine in large bowl, beating with spoon until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir flour into brown sugar mixture; add eggs and mix well.

Stir milk, egg mixture, vanilla extract and almonds into brown sugar mixture; beat well.

Spread pastry on bottom of 4 or 5 8x8 squares or pans; refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until brownies spring back when touch of hand. Cool completely; frost with chocolate morsels. Store at room temperature or frozen. Cut into 4 to 6 slices. Cut into 5 balls or squares. Freeze 10 to 13 hours.
