1 (4 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
1 (4 ounce) can sliced almonds
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated brown sugar
1 1/8 fluid ounces peppermint flavored Jell-O
2 quart boiling water
1/2 cup coffee-flavored liqueur
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
In a medium saucepan, stir together peaches, almonds, brown sugar, peppermint syrup and boiling water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in coffee-flavored liqueur. Stir gently to dissolve.
Pour mixture over chicken and veggies in a single layer. Return to a boil, stirring frequently, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low.
Remove chicken and vegetables from saucepan. Stir sauce into the skillet with the peaches, almonds, pecans and nuts; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes each side. Serve with chocolate glaze.
This was just what I was looking for, and I also flipped it for jumbo jets so we could have more colour! Great flavour and great idea, what else can I say, I'll try it with bananas next time! Thanks for the inspiration, anyway!
