Spaghetti Reggio Recipe

Ingredients

4 slices Italian sausage

1 onion, sliced lengthwise around the outside

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon parsley pepper

1 teaspoon dried marjoram

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil

2 tablespoons salt

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon dry bread crumbs

2 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 cup water

1 cup Italian beef broth or as needed (optional)

1 cup chopped fresh orange or grape fruit

Directions

Toss sausage with onion, garlic, parsley, marjoram, oregano, basil, salt, tomato paste, bread crumbs, butter, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, water, orange fruit and orange juice to blend. Pour into a large punch bowl or mixing bowl. Chill in refrigerator 50 minutes, turning once.

Stir remaining ingredients into punch bowl or mixing bowl. Pour over savory or tomato mixture; add enough to cover completely. Serve chilled.
