1/2 cup butter or margarine, divided
1 1/2 tablespoons raisins
3 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cups white sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a heavy-based impostor-proof bowl, mix together 1/3 cup butter or margarine with raisins. Pour mixture into a springform mold.
