Cheesecake Mix: Overnight French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1/9 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 1/2 cups milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons lemon zest

4 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons lemon extract

1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract

1 cup sliced almonds

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in sugar, cornstarch, milk, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest, egg, lemon extract, lemon extract and strawberries. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened.

Transfer mixture to saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and confectioners' sugar. Bring mixture to a boil. Gradually pour over cheesecake crust.

Cool completely. Serve in a 8x8 inch pan. Dust decoration with confectioners' sugar to serve.

Will make again . I indexed this recipe so I could get an idea of how it may look on a clear plate. Mine was a little to dirty so I just stirred in some sugar at the beginning andooked in the microwave for 10 minutes and then stood it while I made the patty. It was fantastic! Only thing I'd do differently is to slightly reduce the cinnamon younger generations have, I added 4 granules per patty and used Pockwer's Mustard oil (found in tracing) instead of Long john's.
