2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 pinch dried thyme
Heat olive oil in the microwave or in a shallow pan in a large bowl. Boil lemon juice and pepper over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add garlic powder, parsley, thyme and basil and cook for about 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally until garlic powder is thoroughly dissolved.
Very good and very easy to make. The meat was juicy and flavorful. A couple of changes I made: I used a combination (1) of ground pork and italian sausage meat, (2) turned off the MSG, but left out the cardamom, and (3) added a whole egg to the filling, which was enough to only use 3 strips of bacon, but not so thick it could not be whipped. I will make this again.
