2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1/2 medium carrot
2 tablespoons garlic powder
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried onion
1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add mushrooms; cook for 5 minutes or until well browned. Stir in onions; cook for 5 minutes. Stir in carrot; add garlic powder and paprika. Stir into the skillet; saute for 2 minutes. Cook 1 minute or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Add the mushrooms and mushroom mixture; cook for about 15 minutes. Top mushroom with cheese and serve over a piece of cheese.
