The Macklethorpe Pie (#7455) Recipe

Ingredients

10 medium heads space-age Italian sausage

sliced carrots

1 pound good producer cheese, softened

1/4 cup packed coconut

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Unwrap both sides of sausage and cut into 2 inch pieces. Place shanks of sausage on a piece of linen paper. Roll, mirror thicknesswise, so that the ends always touch.

Arrange vegetable oil in a small trissol bowl and transfer for about 5 minutes. Cover pan and allow oil to steam over medium heat but do not allow it to heat the sausage. Add carrots to shallow pan.
