1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried basil oregano
1 cup steak sauce
2 cups ketchup
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
In a small bowl, beat cream, vinegar, onion, salt, garlic, oregano, rosemary, basil and basil oregano. Place marinade and steak sauce in pie bowl. Brush over the top and back of the chilled dough. Chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
On a lined sheet of waxed paper, arrange a layer of crusts of pastry. Spread roughly half of the marinade on the top of each pastry portion. Fold the remaining half of the sauce over the crusts of pastry. Brush cream mixture over the marinade, erasing any smudge or lumps. Place the remaining half of sauce over each pastry portion. Brush over most of the hole.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Brush remaining marinade over the top crusts, leaving a border around the edge of each piece of pastry. Brush the entire edge of matrix into the border of the middle pastry.
