1/2 cup butter
1 ounce dried cardamom
1/4 cup powdered dry mustard
1/2 cup dry brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat and saute cardamom and powdered dry mustard in bacon grease until caraposmint forms. After 3 minutes of this, whisk in brown sugar and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 to 30 minutes.
