1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix, eggs, sugar, water and oil. Bring to a boil and stir until blended. Beat in vanilla extract, pecans and nuts. Pour batter into pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
