1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until smooth. Fold in the melted butter mixture, mixed into the creamed mixture, and to remaining mix well. Press mixture in to 5 inch square pan.
Bake candy in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the candy comes out clean. Thoroughly cool before cutting into squares. Store in refrigerator.
