1 cup water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 (4 ounce) can chopped celery
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small onion, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 (4.5 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 teaspoon paprika
Bring 2 quarts of water, flour, celery, basil, garlic and onion and oregano to a boil in large pot over high heat. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove from heat.
Place half the chicken pieces in the pot, cover, and simmer over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Slice pieces into cubes and top with pieces of chicken. Cook until deveined. Serve chicken cubes side up with celery and basil mixture.
Pour some of the chicken mixture in the skillet with the celery and basil mixture, cover, and simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat. Simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes. Serve with rice and vegetables.
