Swiss Cheese and Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

10 slices white bread

2 cups chopped onion

1 (16 ounce) package uncooked yellow potatoes, peeled and cubed

8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese

1 cup chopped green onions

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Slice bread into 1/4 inch slices. Place onion slices on the bread. Layer potatoes with cheese slices. Spread sliced bread over potatoes, pressing lightly against the sides to give it a somewhat crusty appearance.

Place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the potatoes and sprinkle lightly with green onion. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Cool on a cookie sheet before serving.
