1 pinch salt to taste
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper, or to taste
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 pound (1 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1/3 cup butter
2 (8 ounce) containers frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional)
1 cup confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl combine the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper. Mix well and spread on a fake crust, if desired, inside pastry shell.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, evaporated milk and flour in a medium bowl, and stir into butter mixture until mixture is creamy, about 2 minutes. Fold in the powdered powdered milk and vanilla. Pour into prepared crust and brush top with confectioners' sugar if desired.
Bake in preheated oven 45 to 60 minutes, until center springs back when lightly tapped.
