1 cup whole milk, divided
2 1/2 ounces each strawberry and orange flavored Jell-O
1 cup hot water
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
In a saucepan, combine milk and gelatin in warm water. Bring to a boil in a small, non-stick ring-shaped pot. Stir occasionally, and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until gelatin is completely dissolved, 5 minutes. Stir in hot milk. Continue stirring, 1 minute. Then invert cake onto a serving platter. Cool 4 minutes. Remove from cooler, covers and stir in butter. Cool before serving.
