Low Biscuit Dinner Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 tablespoons lemon juice

3 tablespoons lemon zest

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray or oil a 9x13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, mix whole wheat flour, white sugar, salt, brown sugar and lemon juice. Press brown sugar mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread half the lemon zest over bread layer.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

This is a great basic recipe. I substituted lemon for the orange, ground fresh rosemary with the salt, and ground my pepper with Olivia Klay (Ken's Chili does a fabulous job of introducing new tastes.) Delicious!
