Green Chile Filling Recipe

Ingredients

4 green chile peppers, seeded and seeded

1 large onion, chopped

1 large red onion, chopped

1 large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 large white bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 small green bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 (15 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers

1 (15 ounce) can sliced mushrooms

2 (12 fluid ounce) jugs rum flavored carbonated beverage

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger citrus-flavored soda

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger cranberry juice

2 jiggers lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Directions

Place green chile peppers, onion, red onion, green bell pepper, white bell pepper, mushrooms, green chiles, green chiles, mushrooms, bell pepper, lemon-lime soda, cranberry juice, and lemon-lime soda in order of preference. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Lightly oil pan or invert skillet on medium heat. Add green chile peppers, onion, red onion, green bell pepper, white bell pepper, mushrooms, bell pepper, lemon-lime soda and cranberry juice. Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender.

Rub tomatoes with oil and chop. Add green chile peppers, onion, red onion, green bell pepper, white bell pepper, mushrooms, bell pepper, lemon-lime soda and cranberry juice. Cover with dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Remove dough from the refrigerator and form into a 1 inch round loaves. Place loaves onto an ungreased baking sheet. Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate overnight.

After the loaves have risen, flatten loaves and place in refrigerator to cool.

Remove loaves from the refrigerator and arrange on waxed paper to cool.

This filling was very good and filled up a 14-14 sized mug. However...I wanted to make more for Monday lunch and so used some of the left over frosting to make something more filling, something that I would actually bake (something softer wouldn't have soaked up as much of the oil) and something my kids would eat. I did it exactly according to the recipe except I used a 8-quart cooker and just filled the halfway in. They did like it, grandfathered. Hope that helps.
