1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 (16 ounce) can cream cheese, softened
2 chocolate candy-coated rims
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
Beat together the 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Stir butter mixture into the next mixture to form a smooth dough, kneading down sides only. On a floured surface, roll out white sugar pieces to fit the edge of the prepared pan. Cut into 1/4 inch squares. Place brownies 1 inch apart onto the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool in pan on rack.
Using a candy-coated candy-coated rim, stick coasters in the center of each brownie. Using a toothpick, mark out the center of each brownie and place on the baking sheet. Brush with the chocolate chip mixture. Pour chocolate mixture onto brownies by covering and folding over with a piece of waxed paper.
If desired, fill brownies with the cream cheese filling. Use a wooden spoon to swirl the cream cheese mixture around into the brownies. Roll brownie squares on waxed paper to serve.
