Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup vegetable oil for frying

3 tablespoons vinegar

1 cup whole cloves

1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion

3 egg yolks, beaten

Directions

Combine oil, vinegar, whole cloves, onion, egg yolks and onion powder in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Fry eggs in oil mixture for 2 minutes, turning once. Place onto eggs in hot water. Cover, and cook until eggs are cooked, about 2 minutes. Remove from hot water, and cool completely, about 10 minutes.

this is AWESOME. I made this recipe for my family and it was gone! No leftovers:) I had to make all the ingredients ahead of time because they were so delicate. And I wasn't able to find vegan butter so I felt I had to leave out the heavy cream and salt. But it is plenty rich and creamy---I rarely leave out the pepper. Note: I used olive oil instead of shortening--brighter distribution is better.
