1 1/2 cups margarine, softened
1 3/4 cups white sugar
2 eggs
3 bananas, sliced
6 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup applesauce
1 cup milk
1 (15 ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 cup brown sugar
1 (2 ounce) package lemon flavored Jell-O mix
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup diced celery
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, sugar, eggs, bananas, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and butter. Mix in the applesauce and milk. Stir in lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage, brown sugar, pecans and celery. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
To make the cake, stir together the chocolate cake mix, granulated sugar, lemon cake mix, lemon cake mix, pecans and celery. Fill and frost with frosting.
