Classic Maple-Nut Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup pure maple syrup

1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

5 tablespoons maple whiskey

8 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 pinch salt

1 cup chopped black walnuts

sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cherries

Directions

In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, evaporated milk, maple whiskey and flour. Bring to a boil, continue stirring and simmer over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes.

Stir in nuts and attempt to mix before using with syrups.

It's my first time ever making it and it turned out pretty well. But there were a couple of things I would change or eliminate before going forward. I did not use onions or mushrooms on the original recipe, so I did not measure out the liquid and used 1 cup of water. I would have added more garlic salt, too.
