1 3/4 cups butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, brown sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine the pecans and walnuts; spread evenly in the bottom of a 9x9 inch pan.
Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven, until cookies are set and slightly brown. Remove from the baking sheet to cool on a wire rack.
