Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine

1/2 pound fresh bacon, chopped

3 slices prepared thin round cracker crust

1/4 cup minced onion

2 tablespoons minced clams

1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

1 tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

3 pounds fresh mushrooms

1 1/2 cups whole mushrooms

1 1/2 pounds crabmeat

2 cups cooked ham

6 tablespoons bacon grease

4 eggs

Directions

Bake bacon in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Remove from skillet.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in bacon, onion, clams, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Stir in mushrooms, crabmeat, ham and bacon grease. Cook for about 15 minutes.

Stir in eggs and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring often, to just to allow eggs to cook.
