1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
1 tablespoon tomato juice
1 cup vinegar
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup pimento, crushed
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup bacon bits
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup diced celery
In a medium bowl, blend oil, chopped onion, tomato juice, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, salt, pimento, and celery.
Heat a large pan of water in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add onions; stir; cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes. When onions are tender, add bacon bits and celery. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add bacon bits and celery to onion mixture. Pour spaghetti sauce over salad.
Cover pan with aluminum foil; set aside.
In a small bowl, blend 1 cup of salad dressing with bacon bits. Toss salad with banana peppers, corn salsa, peanuts and bacon bits.
