Garlic Rye Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

4 slices fresh bread or roll, cubed

1 pound lean ground beef

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1 (8 ounce) can LAND O LAKES Burgers and Fries

Directions

Prepare the BBQ sauce according to package directions. Add the beef, salt, garlic powder and dry mustard. Mix together and use immediately. Add 3 cups water to the thickened BBQ sauce. Continue adding water until the mixture is thickened.

Preheat grill for high heat.

Grill the sandwiches for 5 to 6 minutes per side, turning over occasionally, to 1 to 2 hours.

Remove the meat from the sandwiches; cut into 1 inch cubes. (Note: You can cut the meat with a knife or fingers into 9 inch cubes. See Garlic Bison Ribs.) Grill meat for 5 minutes per side, turning to coat on all sides. Reserve 1/4 cup meat pieces for the BBQ sauce. Place meat cubes on the grill. Continue cooking over medium high heat for 5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature of the meat reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
