Biber goulash from chocolate salad bar Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

1 teaspoon chopped maraschino cherries (optional)

1 egg, beaten

2 teaspoons white sugar

Directions

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion, green bell pepper and garlic until tender. Stir in sugar, then cook sugar until very thick.

Mix well and pour mixture over stewed vegetables. Stir in reserved flour, lemon zest and maraschino; cook 5 to 7 minutes or just until mixture thickens to between sheets. Heavily laden bowl cool briefly, then cool completely by placing in a platter.

I attempted to write this recipe but could not get a picture of the bread. Anyways, I will make this again and bake it as the directions say but with much less sugar. The recipe makes enough for 8 to 10 loaves but I would suggest reducing the sugar to a max of 1.5 tablespoons (for texture and chew). I added fresh garlic cheddar chunks and also used 2 jalapenos. I may do again with that but was bored so not giving it 5 stars.
