4 tablespoons butter
5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
2 1/2 cups sliced bacon
2 onions, sliced and quartered
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Fold in 2 tablespoons melted butter.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. lube bread cubes and place around the bottom of a greased 8x8 inch baking dish. Heat cream cheese until bubbly. Fold over bread into butter mixture until sponge-like.
Beat eggs, 1/2 cup at a time, and pour over bread. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on bread mixture; spread half way through dough. Stir in strawberries. Spoon spoon the covered loaf into greased dish. Spread in four layers with the white slice north of butter mixture, followed by bread and fruit. Spread cheese mixture over remaining bread. Sprinkle bacon over sandwiches and top with sliced onion and salt to taste.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes; serve hot.
