2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup finely chopped almonds
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, chocolate syrup, flour, baking powder, baking soda, soda and salt until well blended. Stir in butter or margarine and white sugar to the mixture. Gradually stir in flour, stirring just until incorporated. Spread mixture over prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
Beat butter or margarine in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in sugar and almonds. Mix in flour mixture. Stir chocolate syrup into remaining flour mixture, then stir in vanilla extract. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into center of the pan comes out clean. Remove from heat, let cool completely, and use for frosting.
