Daniel Yount's Maple Jam Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup golden raisins

2/3 cup English quinoa

3 tablespoons sifted all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Place golden raisins in a small bowl; mix. Cover and refrigerate until set.

Meanwhile, crumble butter or margarine in a large bowl into small pieces. Mix in the flour, seasoning cream and sugar. Stirring constantly, or until moistened.

Heat a small skillet over medium heat. When the pan is hot, pour a little water into pan or liquid will run out. Brush oil into pan and cook about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Drain drips and place cherries in pan. Refrigerate until thickened and sprinkle with salt to taste. Serve warm or at room temperature.
