1 cup yellow corn syrup
3/4 cup water
1 egg, beaten
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups shortening fly amount, chopped

Saute corn syrup in a large saucepan over medium heat until heated through.
