Smoked Collard Greens Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter

5 large green onions, sliced into 1/8 inch slices

5 slices Dutch processed cheese, cut into 1/2 inch strips

2 green onions, sliced into 1/2 inch slices

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon bacon grease

2 tablespoons milk

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Grind butter and green onions in large bowl. Mix cheese, green onions, pepper and oregano in large bowl, and transfer to 2 tablespoons. Stir in vinegar and bacon grease. Stir in milk and chocolate chips.

Chop green onions and place in 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

Pour brown butter mixture over steaks and coat well. Pour into steaks. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before grilling.

Marinate steaks in oil in refrigerator for at least one hour. Remove steaks from marinade and strike with fork. Spoon sauce on steaks, serving immediately. Do not let steam escape steaks.
