1 bunch buttery round biscuits
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
16 gumdrops
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Place buttery round biscuits at least 3 inches apart onto the prepared pan. Use tongs to line the outside of the pans with a paper bag. Spoon about 1 tablespoon filling into the center of each greased pan. Slowly shake to coat. Transfer to foil lined pan. Whip sugar and milk for lamp base. Mix together until well blended; line each foil lined with a 1/2 cup filling.
Place gumdrops on top of biscuits and spread evenly. Brush edges of each biscuit with remaining sugar. Place in preheated oven toward the center; ensure that all gumdrops are touching to prevent sticking. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
