1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons honey
8 loaves white Italian bread
2 (1 ounce) squares Italian salad
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning
1 pound tomato sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix ground beef, tomato paste, salt and pepper. Heat water in a small saucepan over high heat. Stir and allow mixture to heat until thickened. Reduce heat to medium-low. Using a 2 1/2 cup pizza cutter, slice bread into thin slices.
Season remaining bread slices with Italian-style seasoning, then sprinkle tomato sauce over the bread slices. Cover and place in the oven.
Bake for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), or until bubbly and slightly browned.
