1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon canola oil
Place the BBQ sauce, onion, Dijon, lemon juice, alcohol and canola oil into a blender with a small amount of ketchup to make a paste. Blend until slightly smooth.
Shape mixture into small oval patties. Brush patties with ketchup mixture. Place on a greased baking sheet and place them on the racks of a large roasting pan.
Roast patties in preheated oven for about 40 minutes, turning occasionally, but eventually true the heck out of them. Don't let them brown too quickly and allow them to cool slightly on the rack.
