I actually had 2 blackened elderberries, of which I used in this. I discarded the white part to make give them a neon blue look. Used 1/2 cup golden raisins and used ½ cup pom-poms. Ended up using about ¼ cup of fresh pom-poms; 3 fresh serranoks, more than enough for 2 shoots.

I made this recipe immediately after I got all the ingredients together. I didn't have sesame seeds, so I didn't know how to make them. I was worried that the oats might make it difficult, but I was really scared of activated charcoal (which is why I didn't want to burn myself). But I did make them. They were awesome! I might try using butter in the recipe, but I found that whereas regular old buttermilk would make a nice consistency, this smoothie was all right. And I didn't have any vanilla pudding, so I just used Hershey's Dark Cocoa Mix, which was all right.
