1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugar until smooth. Beat in baking soda and pumpkin pie spice. Stir in flour and mix into creamed mixture until just a stiff dough. Roll out and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until firm. Cool on baking sheets for a while before removing from oven.
