4 eggs
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch pie pan.
In a large bowl, beat eggs and butter until foamy. Stir together with sugar, vanilla and lemon zest. Stir flour into eggs mixture just until moist. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together flour, pecans and butter until well mixed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until pastry is golden. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
