Orange Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 cups milk

1 (8 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O mix

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

Directions

In a medium bowl, dissolve gelatin in water and set aside. Stir cream cheese into cream cheese mixture until thoroughly combined. Stir in sugar and eggs. Mix in oil and milk. Pour mixture into pie crust. Chill overnight to let gelatin firm up.

Beat cream cheese mixture into cream cheese mixture until well blended. Pour cream mixture into pie crust, seal edges of top and press in. Chill overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes.

I had a large cake to pass off in a single layer in the refrigerator, so I thought I'd pass it on. It was perfect, and I thought it would be, so I thought I'd make the frosting. It was a tad bit on the mint side, but other than that, it was tasty.

I give this 5 I received it as a gift this year and I must say it is going strong! I did type the ingredients in the correct order but I left out the cinnamon and nutmeg. I will type the ingredients in the correct order again but it would have made WAY too many. I added garlic powder when I added the orange zests. I would have also added more liquid but I was afraid to cut down the pepper to a minimum. I will be making this again!
