1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 chicken, cubed
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 recipe pastry for a 9x13 inch pan
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Coat lightly with grease. Cook chicken 1 minute. Mix salt and pepper in small bowl. Place chicken in pan. Bake in preheated oil for 10 minutes. Flip chicken through chicken skin; remove, bone side up, and cut into 1 inch strips. Serve with brown gravy.
Place strips of chicken in pan with remaining ingredients. Cover pan with foil, facing up, and steam for 10 minutes. Remove chicken; reserve stock.
Heat gravy in large skillet over medium heat. Pour over chicken, and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve flat.
