Gingerbread Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup packed light brown sugar

2 eggs

1 cup white sugar

3 teaspoons HERSHEY'S Baking Powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 cups sliced almonds

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees F.

COMBINE butter and brown sugar in medium bowl. Beat in eggs and sugar. Stir in brown sugar mixture. Beat in baking powder and baking soda. Beat in oil and vanilla.

COMBINE almonds and pecans in small glass or metal bowl. Pour mixture into greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until candies spring back when touched. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Drizzle with 1/2 cup peanut butter glaze.
