1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
6 eggs
4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper liners. Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, eggs, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
Carefully squeeze, or scoop, eggs into a large bowl. Stir in flour and baking powder; stir just until incorporated. Fill pastry-wise with eggs. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve warm, or cool completely.
