1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon rum flavored extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Cut into 1 inch squares. Spread brownie batter into another 9 inch square pan. Line pans with parchment paper and grease lightly.
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and 1/2 cup flour until smooth. Beat in the brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt and milk. Beat in egg, rum extract and vanilla. Mix in the almonds. Roll green bars into 1 inch balls. Place them 1 1 inch apart onto the parchment paper, leaving them 1 inch thick. Secure edges with toothpicks.
