1 pack yeast dough
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Stir the yeast and water into the warm water; allow to stand for 1 hour.
After the yeast has stood for 1 hour, mix in sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and chopped nuts.
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir constantly and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture foams. When it begins to bubble, add eggs; continue stirring constantly. Beat in the flour mixture, stirring constantly. Mix in the butter, brown sugar and vanilla.
When the mixture begins to become slightly sticky, stir in walnuts and sugar; set aside.
Cook the pie according to package directions, adding the 1 cup of walnuts and walnuts in the last 20 minutes.
